To
guide each individual to
put his full faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and to love
Him with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength (Deut. 6:4-6).
To build
Christ's character in individuals in marriage and in families so as
to glorify God through the lives of our people (Ephesians 1:6, 12,
14). We will endeavor to do this by:
- Teaching the husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the
church, and to be the Spiritual leader in the home. (Ephesians 5:25;
I Peter 3:7)
- Teaching the wives to be submissive to their husbands.
(Ephesians 5:22-24; I Peter 3:1-6)
- Turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and hearts
of the children to the father. (Malachi 4:6)
- Maintaining scriptural standards for those who we permit to be
married in our church and by our pastor. (II Cor. 6:14-18)
To demonstrate our
love to the Lord and our faithfulness to each other by giving only a
good report of each other unless we follow Matthew 18:15-18 in the
spirit of restoring rather than exposing. (Galatians 6:1) *Church
discipline will be practiced for this purpose (I Corinthians 5)
To explain and apply
God's principles of finances in the church and in each family so
that God can provide specific direction and illustrate His
supernatural power. (Malachi 3:10, 11; Luke 16:10-12; I Corinthians
16:1,2)
To train each
Christian to edify one another and to do the work of the ministry
by: (Ephesians 4:12)
- Giving him basic Bible knowledge;
- Teaching him principles of the spiritual warfare;
- Helping him learn his spiritual gifts;
- Giving him practical training in areas of Christian services.
